Esco Bangladesh Pioneers the First Gen 4 Biosafety Cabinet Installation, Introducing Cutting-Edge Safety Features

Share

Esco Bangladesh, one of the local representatives of Esco Lifesciences, has achieved a monumental milestone in the country's biosafety sector by successfully installing Bangladesh's first Gen 4 Biosafety Cabinet (BSC). The LA2-4S8 G4 10" model marks a significant leap forward in safety and efficiency for laboratories across the nation.

Following meticulous planning and execution—including installation, certification, IQOQ documentation, and end-user training—the cabinet is now fully operational, serving a broad spectrum of research and pharmaceutical applications. Esco Bangladesh's expert engineers ensured a seamless installation, maintaining strict adherence to safety standards and protocols throughout the process.

The LA2-4S8 G4 10" Biosafety Cabinet, part of Esco's Labculture® G4 series, introduces a host of cutting-edge features designed to enhance containment, user protection, and energy efficiency. The cabinet now offers three sash opening models (8”, 10”, and 12”), providing increased flexibility for various laboratory setups. Additionally, the cabinet features a new dimmable LED lighting system, allowing users to adjust brightness for optimal work conditions.

A standout feature of the Gen 4 BSC is the intuitive Centurion Touchscreen controller, which delivers a seamless user experience. The controller displays safety information and cabinet alarms via a 3D BSC diagram, making it easy for users to navigate and understand critical alerts. It also provides detailed alarm information with clear instructions for proper intervention, along with event and alarm logs for monitoring and analysis.

Further enhancing efficiency and safety, the Gen 4 BSC includes a standby height feature that activates standby mode, maintaining an ISO Class 3 work zone while conserving up to 80% of energy. Additionally, the cabinet includes new features such as a USB port for relaying operational parameters to Building Management Systems (BMS) and a Remote Modbus feature, contributing to enhanced connectivity and control.

Esco Bangladesh's commitment to advancing biosafety technology underscores its dedication to research excellence and safety standards. The introduction of the Gen 4 Biosafety Cabinet sets a new benchmark for biosafety infrastructure in Bangladesh, ushering in a new era of enhanced research capabilities and scientific advancement.
